Then, once your number has been successfully transferred to PureTalk on your new number has been activated, follow these steps depending on the type of SIM you have.

If you have a physical SIM:

  1. Insert your SIM card into your phone.
  2. Insert your SIM.
  3. Power the device back on and test your service.

If you have a physical SIM:

Ensure your device is connected to Wi-Fi, then install the PureTalk eSIM using the steps below:

  • For iPhone:

    1. Open the Settings app.
    2. Tap PureTalk Cellular Plan Ready to be Installed.
    3. Tap Continue and follow the prompts to complete the installation.
  • For Android:

    1. Open the Settings app.
    2. Tap Connections.
    3. Select SIM Manager.
    4. Tap PureTalk Cellular Plan Ready to be Installed.
    5. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.

Test your service once installation is complete. Your service should be active after these steps are complete.

You have 90 days from the date your order was placed to activate your physical PureTalk SIM before it expires. This does not apply to eSIMs. eSIMs can be activated at any time. Dual SIM indicates your device can use two SIMs which means you can have two phone numbers on the same device. Depending on your device, this could be two eSIMs or an eSIM and a physical SIM. Currently, PureTalk supports Dual SIM functionality on iPhone 13 or newer models and certain Samsung devices. Absolutely! If you have a device compatible with PureTalk's eSIM, you can certainly switch from a physical SIM to an eSIM. Once your order is complete, follow the eSIM activation steps provided after checkout. Not all phones support eSIM. While most newer smartphones have this technology, not all eSIM-compatible devices work with PureTalk's eSIM. If your phone isn't supported, you can still use PureTalk service with a physical SIM.
